The Song of the Birds has a route of 1.4 km has a low difficulty , it is a circular path through secondary forest and areas in regeneration.

The path to the Pozo Verde lagoon has an intermediate difficulty, and a distance of 2.1km in each direction, the total route is about 2.5 hours walking.

Each visitor will be able to evaluate , according to their physical condition, whether it is accessible to do the walk, or to bring small children.

* The path to the Mines is not enabled , since at the moment it is not safe for visitors due to landslides and areas of difficult passage.

In the Reserve, we adhere to Law No.6084 of the National Park Service, which stipulates that inside national parks it is prohibited for visitors to introduce domestic animals or exotic plants.

Domestic animals interfere with the fauna present in the Reserve, their urine and excrement generate chemical signals that alter the behavior of wild animals and cause them to move to other more remote areas. In addition, domestic animals can attack small animals such as birds, amphibians, or reptiles, causing death or severe injury.

The restaurant located inside the Reserve (Minas de Agua) opens only on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and holidays from 9:00 a.m. at 4.00 p.m.

Typical dishes are served in the Restaurant.

They also offer hot drinks (coffee, chocolate, fresh water) and natural soft drinks.

The Juan Castro Blanco National Water Park, has an area of 14,258 hectares, these are distributed as follows:

  • 598 ha belong to the state; 598 ha were purchased in 2010 and 7,000 ha were granted to the State through judicial processes.
  • 402 ha are still in private hands.
  • Coopelesca, with the contribution of its members, has managed to acquire 1,136ha for the conservation and enjoyment of future generations.
